The Fair

It's that time of year again. The fair is making it's rounds around here. Last Saturday we loaded up and headed off to the fair. I will admit that usually my favorite part of the fair is the fair food. Turkey legs, Slushie Dogs, COTTON CANDY, Carmel Apples, The World's Best Hot Chocolate, churros, elephant ears, etc, etc, etc. LOVE fair food. But this year the boys wanted to ride some of the carnival rides and believe it or not over-paying for cheap rides but watching the shear joy on the boys faces beat out over paying for caloricious indulgences. =)

First up was the race cars. I was surprised that
Joel was willing (and excited) to ride these because
the corner was pretty fast. But they LOVED it.

Then it was off to the giant slide.
Don't you love Joel slowing himself down on the side?!

Vance FLEW down the slide.
One of the benefits of being all of 29 pounds.

The boys couldn't agree on the next ride so Vance went on the helicopter.
Joel went on the whales- Tj had the camera with Vance. =)

Then it was off to the food arena. Mmmm, what is it about fair food?! Then we headed over to the rodeo. Of course we were all so enthralled with the rodeo (and not freezing to death) that there were not pictures to document this aspect of the fair. We rounded out our night with fair treats; cotton candy, hot chocolate and an elephant ear. Is it bad that I'm considering following the fair around to all the nearby counties for the next month?!
